Booking Waiver & Liability Release Form

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

This waiver is designed to ensure that all clients of SoapHouseStudio understand the purpose and limitations of the services provided, including all safety precautions, liability disclaimers, and booking requirements.

1. Purpose and Nature of Services

TheSoapHouseStudio is an educational platform created to teach individuals how to make soap from scratch. Our services are for cosmetic and educational purposes only.
We are not medical professionals, and we do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, illness, or underlying health condition.
None of our products or educational materials should be interpreted as offering medical advice or guarantees of healing.

2. Travel, Booking, and Location Requirements

  • A travel fee of a minimum $100 applies for in-person classes that require travel.

  • The location of your class will be disclosed after your booking is confirmed, unless the class is at your home or location of choice.

  • If the class will be held at a location you choose, please include the full address in the booking description before submitting payment.

  • The chosen location must meet the following criteria:

    • Clean and sanitary environment

    • No children present in the soap-making area

    • No food or beverages in the soap-making area

    • Client must be mentally and physically prepared to participate in soap making, which can be a demanding activity

3. Virtual Classes

  • Virtual classes are available and do not incur a travel fee.

  • Clients must still follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) during virtual sessions.

4. Personal Soap Equipment

  • Clients may bring or use their own soap-making equipment for sessions.

  • All equipment must be thoroughly cleaned before use.

  • TheSoapHouseStudio is not responsible for any damage to your equipment or harm resulting from its use.

5. Safety and Liability

  • Participation in soap making is done at your own risk.

  • All clients are required to wear PPE during the entire class, both virtual and in-person.

  • You agree not to hold TheSoapHouseStudio, its workers, or Ingrid Pierre (owner) liable for:

    • Any injury or harm (including but not limited to skin irritation, burns, or accidents)

    • Any loss or damage to personal belongings or soap-making equipment

    • Any health issues resulting from participation in the class

6. Acknowledgment of Self-Taught Instruction

TheSoapHouseStudio is a self-taught business, and all instruction is based on personal experience. The content provided is not affiliated with any formal institution or certification body.
By booking, you acknowledge that you are engaging in an independent learning experience and that all actions you take are based on your personal responsibility and discretion.

7. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling

Please review our Cancellation, Refund, and Rescheduling Policy on our website or booking page. These policies are binding once payment is submitted.
